    This photo is before I trimmed the feathers back a bit but under the bulbous very infected looking piece here is what I believe to be bone (the little pointy piece underneath) ... I was so hopeful it wouldn't get infected but knew there was a high probability of course..

    About a week ago, our guinea keets were attacked by raccoons. Apparently they were able to get their grabby hands in the grow out enclosure, and one was deceased, one had its wing ripped off. I took inside, cleaned/bathed - warm saline water, iodine and slathered honey. I let her fully dry...
