Bumblefoot stress, worms or something contagious?

Got the prelim report today. Both batches of birds (she came with first from Dare2Dream, second was from Hilltop Farms) were allegedly vaccinated for Marek’s, so I’m not sure exactly what this means… Do I need to maintain a closed flock now?

Bumblefoot stress, worms or something contagious?

Thank you very much. This was our first grown chicken loss. She was so special, a derpy dribbler with the cutest noises and great cheeks. Our favorite baby girl. We delivered her body to the San Bernardino center for an autopsy. I’ll leave this cute pic my daughter made for her here. RIP...

Bumblefoot stress, worms or something contagious?

I don’t know if that staph infection went to her heart, or if she had salpingitis or some ovary issue (she kind of tapered off of laying, it wasn’t sudden and eggs seemed normal) or if acidosis from all the panting could do it… or if it’s possibly something more nefarious like MS/MG, Newcastle...

Bumblefoot stress, worms or something contagious?

Omg we woke up to a dead chicken! Ugh she was our favorite, the sweeting thing ever. My daughter is devastated. 😓😭 I know it’s possible to tell some things from the position they died in… going to post a pic below of how we found her. Do I need to get a necropsy?

Oops I will take away food in a bit and then check her crop in the morning. It’s soft and full right now. Maybe squishy?

Bumblefoot stress, worms or something contagious?

I will have to get foot pics tomorrow, she’s all wrapped up again right now. I have calcium pills with D3 but not citrate. I can crush some and put it in the food. She’s lost some tail feathers but doesn’t look like the molting pics online? We’ve only been chickening for a year so I’m not quite...

Bumblefoot stress, worms or something contagious?

Didn’t see any, but I’ve not wormed them. They have a raised wood coop with wood chips, an enclosed run with dirt/sand mix, and daily access to a more open (but fenced off from dogs) free range dirt area we call the ‘aviary.’ She was offered some parsley, she ate a little yesterday but I...

Bumblefoot stress, worms or something contagious?

She wasn’t eating much and this morning I noticed funky poops (green/watery) so today I got her to eat a bit of scrambled egg and some moist feed with electrolytes and probiotics. She’s still panting (I can hear it but not like rales or gurgles). She’s also holding both wings out but one wing...

Bumblefoot stress, worms or something contagious?

Hi all! My EE Ginger is having a rough time. She’s had bumblefoot issues for a couple months, we’ve been wrapping/soaking but there still looks like lingering yellowy bits under the fresh scab. The last few days she mostly sits around and hasn’t been eating much. Limping slightly, drinking...
