So I’ve been good at cleaning it daily over the last couple of weeks, I’ve laid paver bricks every few feet so I can hope to collect poop and don’t need to bring a bunch of germs into the house. It’s been working well!

Where do you spray the mixture? In the coop or the run?

I couldn't find peat moss at tsc last time I went, otherwise I'd have added that! that's expensive for straw and hay,no? Id pay a little more and get the hemp. And add in sweet pdz from tsc.

That's usually what I do, pile on a couple of pieces of bark over it. Today I set up my coop for winter by adding 1/2 hemp and 1/2pine and DE. Wow I like the rotational run idea! I'm thinking once I take out the integration coop, I'll add a small garden bed with herbs and cover it with Hardware cloth, so the chickens can peck through to get the greens. Run is plenty large for 5 chickens.

How is the poop still in tack after a month? Don't they get squished into the earth? 😅. Or does your pellets absorb and leave dry poop pieces? My coop has hemp, and no moisture. So I can sift out or pick up dry poop from it every few days.
