On average 6 to 10 years....maybe longer? Hens usually don't have the same lifespan as a cockbird does. I have a few males that are 14 years old, the hens are 8 years. 10 years is the longest I've had so far. Some might not make even a year, just depends on a whole lot of uncontrollable senerios.
Goldens will tame down more than ring necked pheasants, just depends on how much and how often you handle them as chicks until adult....even then you may or may not be able to tame them....they haven't been domesticated like chickens. They are still semi wild birds. Unsalted treats may help in...
