I thought cockerel on 6 (this week, anyway) because of the way hackle feathers are already coloring up. Comb is halfway between the two other black chicks.

Two weeks. Tails and wings have all evened out at this point. Down is no longer a determinant. All of the lighter colored chicks are definitely growing faster than the dark.

These chicks are a Jersey Giant x RIR back-cross to RIR. They are a week old as of yesterday.
