    Hope this will work out just fine. Please keep me/us updated about the eggs. 🥚 I wish I knew this trick when I had a hen with a similar problem. She was a funny and smart chicken and I miss her circus acts to please us for a few mealworms.

    You can add crumbled calcium tablet for humans in tasty soft food (like boiled rice or cat food) and give it to the hen in question. I remember reading such advice but I’m not sure about the dosage. You need to give this every day for some time. Maybe a few weeks? @Eggcessive ?

    Tiny eggs are no problem at all. But…I had a hen who laid soft eggs without a proper shell more often after she became 3yo. She ended up getting an internal infection or ‘water belly’ and died. If she lays more soft eggs, do ask advice. Sometimes it seems to help to give supplemental Calcium...
