    My first time Muscovy Momma duck is sitting on 7 eggs but only two looked promising. She is past due herself by my thoughts but I will let her sit until later on next week as these babies can be unpredictable. lol

    Yes those look like mine do. I pray that all goes well with your hatch. They can usually get out on their own but if you see their little beaks in the air sac and no sign of hatching after a day or two, I would put the little hole in the air sac.

    Are the movements you are seeing in the air sac where they have internally pipped? If so then after a day or so you can put a tiny hole with the end of a screw in that air sac so they can breathe.

    Yes that is fine. It can take a little longer than 28 days. I have had one hatch out at 32 days. What type of eggs? Some like Muscovy take longer than the Mallard derived ones.

    It surely could have been a staggered hatch. I have had my Ducks do that more than once. Especially being in the wild like that. I hope that these eggs hatch for you and all is well.

    I have no idea what would make an egg do that. Is it blood coming out of if? If it is still moving I would just let it be and see what happens. Good Luck.

    I leave my ducklings on unmedicated duckling crumbles for 6 weeks and they do really good. I would go longer than 2 weeks for little Donnie and if the crumbles you are giving him are for chickens you might need to give him some niacin for strong legs. Chicken feed usually does not have enough...

    I have a Muscovy Duck right now sitting on a nest and about three times a week she still lays an egg. She throws it out of the nest though and I candle it to make sure it's not fertile or have any development in it and then we eat it. I don't know why she is still laying while she is so...
