That brooder is way too small, and they do not need a heat lamp anymore. Is this your first batch of chicks or will you be integrating them with an existing flock? If this is your first batch, do you have a coop yet?- SilverBirds

What is your brooder setup like? If they're getting things that messy it may be time to upgrade. They should be more than fine to be left alone for that long, but you could have a someone pop in to check on them at night or in the morning.- SilverBirds
