That's a serious illness. There's no way anyone can use that much cast iron in a lifetime. Is he selling it? I'm sure there's a market for it -- like us!
I just made cornbread last night to go with our home made chicken noodle soup. And no, no sugar added. I tried to feed the girls some of the left over muffins but they tried it and said - "nope, where's the sugar?" 🤪
I've heard or read somewhere ages ago to never use dish soap on cast iron to clean it. It makes it rust. I always used super hot water to let it soak (too hot for my hands to wash). I also always used Crisco oil. I've never tried Mineral oil but thinking that might work as well.
