I was given this advice from Glenda L Heywood:
moisture is her only hope
try and give her some water with apple cider vineager
I would make a pint of water and use it with 1 tsp of ACV nd you can add the sugar also to it
but the ACV will help hydrate her tisues
She surely will live if you help...
I really hope your chick gets better! I brought mine home from TSC and she looked really bad after reading this forum I gave her sugar water and she looked better and was able to drink on her own only after 30 min. I have her in a box by herself with fresh shavings and under a heat lamp at 90...
Thank you for your help i will keep on watching and taking care of her and praying she makes it! Believe it or not when she was at TSC she was prolly an hour away from death and now she is trying to stand and even drinking water on her own! I am about to cry cause she is being such a lil trooper...
Well I have other chicks but I got them from a local breeder and when I went to TSC tonight to get a new feeder, I noticed they had chicks and realized this one was sick and getting trampled! I was told not to put the sick one in with the others cause they could risk getting sick or they would...
I was wondering if keeping it under the heat would dehydrate it more? It is not able to move around so I want to make sure I am putting it somewhere it will feel best at. What temperature should I keep it at?
I am having this same problem. I went to our local TSC and they just got a shipment of chicks. I saw one getting trampled by the other chicks and I pick it up and it was still breathing and would chirp. I could not bare leaving it there to be left for dead so I brought it home!
Please keep me...
