Finally after nearly 3 months they're back to normal! 3 days in the cat carrier filled 2" with water, In the secure run at night. locked out of the coup another 3 days.
Today I had them sitting in water - not intentionaly- heavy rains came and the cage fell into the pit the others dug...so I let them back into the dry coup.
The lady I was gonna trade them in has no available hens right now,,,UUUgh......... so back to the cage in the morning
Well, sitting in...
This morning, of the 2 that are laying, 1 had an egg but it was tossed out and was broken. A bit ago, tho I've been checking every hour, the other one layed an egg, and it had been pecked at. Guess it's time for the"squatsy sisters" to go back in the hanging cage!!!
I have tried every advice on this forum for the past 2 months, with no avail.
the first 3 weeks of one gone broody, the second started, now i have 2 broodies.
They would take the food and water bowls up under them like eggs! Today they
kicked out another chicks egg - thats a first.
About ready...
