    illegal- and just told by the town to get rid of them. I've had generous neighbors offer to let me raise them on their land (I don't have the legal amount of land required)... but part of raising hens for me is all about NOT depending on others... so I think I'll give them away and buy eggs...

    definitely illegal- just got my zoning notice today (thanks to a neighbor who lives in the country but doesn't like chickens). Sigh. Hopefully I'll be able to change some laws here- or buy more property!
