    I don't know how much I paid for them exactly but I'm guessing in the $3-4. Standard price for the organic free range etc. etc. eggs.

    Yup, just had to google them and email them. It would for sure be a great project for kids. I had much much much better development with these eggs than the dozens of ebay eggs I've tried. Sure they aren't a rare purebred bunch, but most of the fun was trying to figure out what they are

    I will try post some pics tonight. They all developed, but only 7 made it through hatching and I lost 2 early on. So now I have 5 little week old chicks. They are yellow and so far wing feathers are white. I was able to email the farm that produced the eggs and found out they are RIR x...

    Well I candled last night and there are little chicks growing in there. Some I can't tell (it's only day 9 or 10), but some for sure have little chickies in them. Actually they are doing MUCH better than some ebay eggs I put in at the same time

    This is all very interesting! The eggs I got are a rich brown color. I'm candling tonight so I'll update later. I figure they will have to be excellent layers, if any hatch.
