With regard to the fence shrubs, get some established bamboo and plant it all along, but it can invade places so that may not be an option, but it looks beautiful when it sways in the wind. How wide is the back boundary? A few second hand garden sheds placed next to each other will do the trick...- bantymum

Hello, yes silkies lay very well, I get one per day , their eggs are smaller but the yolks seem to be nearly the same size as a standard egg. maybe the the neighbours dont know the rules anyway and wont know any different. Anyhow im sure you would only get a warning at first if thats the same...- bantymum
