    Hi, I would keep them in the garage or shed or patio or make it look like they live in the house. Then they are housepets. As for cleanup, lay down some newspaper and put shavings on top, but just a little. Everyday or two, pull the paper and toss it in the garbage can, even in a plastic bag...

    Quadcam79, I would put up the horse stall with the 35 ft permitted on each side, then put a coop inside it.

    I think neighbors really don't complain unless they are irritated by something. If your coop is odor free, I doubt they have anything to complain about. And if they ask about them, you can tell them a sad story.

    silkies might be the way to go. They are smaller and easier to hide. I live in a neighborhood where you are not allowed to have roosters, but you can have a million pigeons in a coop that looks better than your house! This must be why I hear so many roosters crowing in the morning!
