Thanks, I was planning on just normal India Blues.
So the Without the quail, the Peafowl and Pheasants can go together. I think I will keep the turkeys and guineas together, (but seperate from the peacock/pheasant pen)
Does that sound safer?

That is kinda my plan, I am just thinking of the layout when all is done. I have ducks already, and they are GREAT!!
Im not planning on jumping in all at once, but hope to have what I want by NEXT winter.
Thanks for the 'calm down' post.
Jason
Honestly, the only reason I was trying to keep as many as I could together, is because gate dog kennel panels are SO expensive.
I guess I could do some more seperating.
Would Turkeys and Guineas do okay together?

What type of quail are you talking about? Bobwhites like to fly and roost up high, but also nest on the ground where the other birds can get the eggs. Coturnix are ground dwellers, so they would be better off in their own pen. The pheasants, chukars, guineas and...
Okay heres a question for you intellegent people...
I would like to have as few of pens as possible, so could this list all be in one GIANT pen together?
Turkeys
Peacocks
Guineas
Quail
Chuckar Partridge
Pheasants
Would that work or would I have alot of problems?
Mrs. AK-Bird-Brain :
I have a 16x16' run, and keep my personal flock of chickens, turkeys, pheasants, chukars, and guineas all together... no problems so far, and no undue picking.
Quail are kept in their own pens/cages, as are the ducks.
hmmm.... Now you got me thinkin'....

They will probably be free ranging most of the time. I was planning on switching off nights and letting the different pens out. (all except for the pheasant/Peafowl/Quail pen.)
I will be sure to learn more about guineas before buying, and before I do this, I (of course) need to do...

I have ducks in with the chickens now, but have read that geese can become agressive towards chickens. Is that true? I would like maybe egyptian or barnacle geese, but have no idea.... I have never had geese before.
Thanks for the ideas!!
Jason
Okay, I have been messing around with this idea, and have come up with this.
How do you think this would work?
I dont know how many turkey diseases affect Pheasants/Peacocks, or the other way around, so I dont know about that. The waterfowl is a barrier between the chickens and everything...

Did the article come in handy? I hope my opinions did too. If you have any questions, just contact me...
Definately!! Do you mind if I post it so others can read the article? Or is that against some copyright laws?
kikescove.com :
It really depends on your set-up or spread. Are you free ranging or penning them. How big is your avairy? That sort of thing. For instance, my father has ducks, peafowl, turkeys, chickens, chukars and pheasants (along with wild quail) all together in his barnyard. The...
Okay NEW questions!!
How do I know if my chickens have Blackhead?
They would be in a coop/run/aviary and may free range a little, but not the pheasants and quail.
Would Peafowl and Pheasants do well together?
I have my ducks in with my chickens now, and have for more than a year with no...
I have been talking to my parents lately about downsizing my chicken flock and getting some other fowl... But I need to know what can go together and what cant.
Heres what Im thinking, but I really want feedback, and to have as many together as possible.
Pheasants, Peacocks, Guineas (...
