I was so hoping it was just that they were point-of-lay!! You poor thing- I see you have an EE roo that looks exactly like my Professor- mine's the sweetest guy in the world. I would definitely try to rehome them, but if you can't it's pragmatic to make some soup...I just can't see ever doing...- ChooksChick

What breed(s) are they? Some breeds have large combs and wattles in the pullets, not just in the roos. Further, at 6 mos, the girls will be making the egg song as they warm up to lay- it's quite possible what you're experiencing is the maturing of the pullets, with 2 lagging behind, thus...- ChooksChick
