This is my niece and her family. Not too far from where I have to move on to 2 acres with my 40 chickens...

Someone complained about chickens in a RURAL, FARMING community...
STAY IN THE CITY IF YOU DON'T...
I have a Pit mix and she is a Love. She alerts us to strangers, but when they come in the house when we are there she wants to sit in their laps and lick them to death.
I have these too, except my Wyandottes are Gold Laced and Columbian. When I ordered the Silver Laced they didn't have any so they replaced them with Columbian. I have one Columbian, one Australorp and one barred rock that absolutely love to sit on my lap and be pet. They are so cool!
I am...
I'm concerned if I clip their wings they won't be able to roost? Am I being silly? My roosts start at 18 inches and go up about 18 inches and I have 3 rows. They all are roosting in the rafters anyway!
My run fence is 5' (or is it 6') dang I can't even remember...
Plus I'm terrified to...
We have other livestock here besides chickens (which all came before the chickens anyway) and we name them. Our cattle herd hovers around 30, we have 5 goats that keep some of our weeds down, 4 pigs and now I have 25 chickens. We name them all. Well, except for the boar and the barrows...
Dang, I wish I wasn't so far west in PA! I have a week old Blue Americauna pullet and I love what she will (hopefully) look like when she gets older and that she will lay blue eggs. I've been looking at Lavendars too. Would love to have more.
When I saw you were going to Kennywood I about spit out my coffee! I'm either not looking or you are the only PA resident in SW PA on this thread!
Hubs drives school bus and I tag along when it's his school day there.
Glad to see someone from my neck of the woods! ;)
I hope the rain...
