To be honest, about my predator problem, I'm not sure what has done it most of the time. I had kept chickens for 8 years in a not-very-secure coop with no problems other than our dog. Then, once I had something take a mama hen right off of her chicks in the predawn hours. What ever it was left...- redhen689

I'm in Berks county. I didn't have problems with predators the first several years here. To be honest my dog was the biggest problem. He's gone now, and the raccoons and foxes have become a problem. I have a very secure coop right now, so as long as I close everything up at night I don't...- redhen689

Mamasky, Welcome! Were practically neighbors! I'm in Earl township... I was just at Oley Valley Feed ,stocking up on supplies and looking at their chicks yesterday. They expanded recently.- redhen689

Actually, That's the way to go. It is illegal to relocate a trapped raccoon in PA. And from what I hear, if you do release them wiithin a few miles of where you trapped them, they will find their way back.- redhen689
