    Would anyone weigh in on keeping Leghorns in a cold climate? I realize that they might need protection for their combs to prevent frostbite, but any other information would be appreciated. I live in southern NH and I'd like to try Leghorns next year. TIA

    Hmmm...I think darkening combs often signal cockerel. If you post a photo, I'm sure someone with more experience than I have will help out.
