My chins watch PBS. Mostly the nature shows. They sit right on the edge of their cage and stare at it and if someone is blocking their view they move around trying to get a better look. I don't know about crab apple trees. Have fun with them. And don't give them too many treats.

One more chin tip. They like to watch tv. Also, if you have an apple tree you can cut small branches for them to chew on. They go through a lot of them.

I have had both. I have Chins now. If you like a pet that you can hold and acts more like a cat, then a ferret would be better. They are comical and a lot of fun to have around. The deciding factor for me is the clean up. My chins have a huge cage and I only clean it once every 2 weeks and...
