If he walks too much upright, don't breed him at all. Otherwise, if he carries himself like Lucky or ZoomZoom, then I'd breed him to the young pair of girls I gave you. Still project bloodlines but Lucky wasn't their sire so a little different mix available.
I hope you get to feeling...
Well what do you think would be the direction to go with the columbian dude..breed to black, white or a project girl?
I got some lavender babies and blacks from Lucky too and porcelain and MF splits.from ZoomZoom. I really love my duccle.
It is only 3+ hours down to you. As soon as I get...
Lori, do think of me if you downsize your blacks I would be interested in one or 2 black girls for Mr columbian if he starts growing towards type. As you know I have blacks with mille bleed and blacks with red bleed.

Well, good luck with this project. I hope you're able to make some progress with it. Have you ever used Henk's Chicken Calculator? It might be helpful.
Nope never used one...they lie. Hahaha if they were right my project birds would not be the colors they are according to Lori and...
I actually do have a big interest in working with the pattern. I like this little guy a lot. Just not sure how to approach it all right now. But I am keeping him as of now.
As to the breeding...not sure. My birds do not have red bleed through, they have the mille gold bleed. In the post of...
Lilcrow Lori is correct these babies are from her lav mf projects. The first pic posted, the lil black girl with the file bleed through is his sister and she looks Luke the parent birds.
He has poor middle toe feathering and looks pretty good otherwise when he standing and not being goofy.
Lori, I must show you what Lucky and his girls have given me...at least the Cuties and mist unusual. I am posting from my phone so I will edit until I get the three pics posted.

This boy is 6 weeks old and amazingly colored and...

Absolutely, when I put my hand in to "mess with them," they always respond better to having my hand under their eye level. I scratch my babies and even adults on the lower breast.........coming from below them. Even the most skittish birds are less frightened using this method.
One...
If I read it correctly....the booted bantam has a different name in UK, Germany and The Netherlands being sablepoot. It can be confusing because they call a d'Uccle a booted bantam in some circles ai who knows. LoL
ummm Not to my knowledge I believe they are related but different breeds. Interesting question to google though.
Okay apparently the Sableppot originates from The Netherlands and is listed as a Booted Bantam....the D'Uccle is a Belgian breed so....does that help?
Well I got into d'Uccle because of Lori. LOL She came up here last summer and was going to use my garage as a safe space for birds she was traveling with overnight. And to bring me my partridge silkie babies (3), well she also just happened to bring some new MF hatchlings and show them to my...
Lilcrow thank you for the compliments and your thoughts on the babies. This is what I DO know...
Lucky, the little black d'Uccle with the mille bleed through is the offspring of Wegotchickens' gorgeous Mille roo, Tenneessee and Lavender hens. I trust Lori without question that there are not...
Okay I am sooooooooooooo confused. LOL
So..here is the deal....I lost my Porcelain roo to a heart issue so I bought a Mille roo for my procelain girls....so I should get Milles split to lavender breed them and get porcelain....Ummmm no I got porcelains and Mille looking chicks that are...
Oh they are hobbled...I used the bandaid method. At almost 24 hours old when they did not have their feet under them, they were hobbled. I am giving them a week to show some improvement without the hobble. If there is improvement when I remove the hobble, I will give them a new hobble and let...
