    My husband requested an addition to the new buckeye coop when he saw the dropping board I made for it. Yes he is a Buckeye, born in Ohio, graduated from Ohio State University. He is looking forward to many buckeye poops landing on this new board.

    Went out today to meet the breeder and check out his flocks. He specializes in Old English, wow! Gorgeous! His buckeye flock is small but really nice looking. He'll have chicks for us around the end of May or being of June.

    Funny how that happens. They take over with their poultry craziness but it's us who end up cleaning the coops most of the time. My husband is going to have to throttle back his desire to breed his feather loves or build be a real barn to manage them all.

    I thought since we're out here in Oregon I was safe telling my Ohio born husband he could get Buckeyes someday if he found a source of quality birds or he built a bator for hatching eggs. After three years of looking I thought he'd given up and the coop would stay occupied with my Orpingtons...
