    Plymouth Rock thread!

I'd say this is a case of a writer who knows absolutely nothing about their subject but are just writing anyway. I think they are confusing White Rocks with Cornish Rock cross birds...the bird they have in the picture in that article is NOT a Plymouth White Rock...if it is, someone has done...

When he matures, it will be LOUD. He may not start to crow until 5-6 mo. of age.

Try Fred's Hens or Weaver's Rocks on this site, they both have excellent WR stock.

Those are gorgeous and healthy looking chicks! What a blessing! Getting ready to put some WR eggs in the incubator today in hopes of getting some chicks from my two remaining heirloom quality WRs. Already have 5 of the WR eggs under a Delaware broody but she is new and I wanted to double...

I can't stop looking at the necks...they look like naked mole rats... .....or male genitalia.

That's it! I had forgotten that concept....the all in or all out, Korean communal bath.

That's what my coop looks like every day now...like it has been put through a leaf blower...the feeder is full, when I open the door it falls out of the coop, etc. It's as if the bedding has suddenly become a huge bubble bath that everyone must partake of. I tried putting the lovely bedding...

They will be along the lines of these...... Every time I do that my birds ignore them and dust in the deep litter. I just provided them one a couple of weeks ago made out of an old tire with a wood bottom, filled with fine sand, with a little wood ash and lime...they haven't...

I can understand her frustration! That's some deep snow! Love this face......if looks could kill, you'd be dead. I'm revamping my coop this spring and expanding, changing the cover, etc. so that I have more light and space and am thinking about adding some foraging boxes in one corner with...

    Plymouth Rock thread!

I agree. My Rocks are the most dedicated foragers I have, particularly the ones I got from Kathy, and they are clearly not liking having no forage. Any time they see a clear area they are on it like a duck on a June bug..... Three of the birds in this pic are Kathy's, the one on the...

My WRs and PRs are very calm and have wonderful temperaments but the BRs never have...though they are hatchery sourced and probably more Maran than BR, so probably cannot be counted as such.

TY! I can't claim any responsibility for her looks and her line as she came from Kathyinmo, who does amazing things for birds at her place. I just feed and water them and watch them grow.

Not many White Rocks represented on this thread...that needs to be remedied! Got some pics of WR pullets from Kathyinmo hatched this spring. This past summer at the local hang out....they have dirty faces from dusting. And some old hatchery stock WR hens for...
