paneubert I suggest placing some wire on the bottom of the door, so when you open the door the quail cannot run out. this would require you to step over it every time you enter or exit but I found it usefull in my aviary. Does your door open into the aviar or out of it(or both?)?

Quail will use nest boxes, I gave my hens one and have not collected eggs out of the box since then! They just won't nest....

Ok, I cleaned mine up!!! Front half, with small cage in corner if I need to separate anyone along with a cat crate. Back half, with 2 small bushes surrounded by a dusting/sanding area, a feeder and water and a hidden tunnel (all the branches on vary back)!!! Spot to get off gravel Nest box...

Sad to say but I have a deformed quail who can not reach the feeder when it's too high. And I do heat my pen do to this bird .
