Mine lay right on the wire. Mine are in an unheated area. The only thing I did last year was add a single heat lamp in there to cut the chill And the water lays in there?- patrickschick

Do you have any problems with them fighting having so many in one long pen? Love the idea! How is clean up? What is the pipe at the bottom of the pen? Very sharp looking! Yeah they do. And it's not just quail. Chickens, quail, chukars, turkeys, kids....yeah the list goes on LOL- patrickschick
