I did. I had a double tufted rooster who was partially tailed. I wasn't going to breed him to my true araucana, plus he was a project color... he was paint. A fox nabbed him, unfortunetly.

Yep, he looks partially tailed. If you don't want to cull him, just don't breed him. If you have the room; buy another more favorable cockerel.

I agree, you did the right thing. I don't tolerate animals that are human aggressive. I've been very pleased with the males of the breed so far with that.

I've heard good results, so long as their well packed. My understanding is most places will send a few extras in the case of a poor hatch.

What's the parentage? No dot, no barring gene. They go hand in hand and you can't have one without the other. If one of the parents was barred/cuckoo then to be sex linked (if that was what you were going for) the mother would have to be the barred/cuckoo one.

Yea, one of the latest ones, the paint cockerel, has like two or three tail feathers. BUT he's double tufted. It falls again to what I feel are the important factors.
