Incubator is a Farm Innovators forced air/auto egg turner. I use three temp gauges, try to keep it at 98, humidity at 50-60. I did not candle them at all.
I have decided that I am jinxed er something on incubating eggs. I bought eight Silver Sebright eggs off ebay, and added six of my bantam eggs to em. Put em in the incubator right away, April 4th. Not one hatched. Zero. Nada. Zilch. I monitered the temp and humidity close, no probs, auto egg...
one tornado passed 3 miles north of us, then beelined for my daughters house. Just missed it in Bessemer. Looks like just as bad this afternoon here in Bibb County
I "think" they got too cold before I got them out, and some of them were 10 days old(in the house) before incubating.
I'm new at incubating and my learning curve is near straight up......
try again...I just put 10 Silver Sebright, 4 Golden Sebright. and 2 Old English Silverduckwing Bantam eggs in the incubator....keep yer fingers crossed.
ok you incubator gurus.....
need some help. I got a Farm Innovators circulated air/egg turner incubator a while back. I put 12 bantam eggs in it last month...NO HATCHES...total crop failure the temp varied some, not much and was right on 99-100 most of the time. Humidity varied, having...
I'm between Bham and Tusc....wish I was closer, I'd take that gold laced hen. I have two silver laced roosters, one of em thinks he's six foot tall.....
I'm in north Bibb, just out of Jefferson Co. We got prolly two inches, roads are a mess. Biggest problem in Bham is that there are an over abundance of idiots living there that can't drive on snow/ice and block the roads with their cars. Buddy drove from my house yesterday to Cahaba Heights...
I have been looking for a couple or four Silver Sebright hens, without luck. I'm between Bham and Tusc. I really don't want to buy a bunch from any of the hatcheries.
wisher, thats pretty much what I was thinking. I've rehabbed orphan fawns in the past and splinting breaks always caused problems with rubbing and cutting off circulation. Two to three weeks and they were pretty much healed on their own.
I put her in a 24X24X36 cage with a nest area, food and...
I found one of my Barred Rocks floating in one of my stock watering bathtubs yesterday. I thought she was dead. Picked her up and she was cold, but alive. I dried her off, wrapped her in a towel and placed her in one of the nest boxes overnight. She was up and moving this am, so I guess we're...
it won't take him long to figure it out, Mother Nature has her ways.....fun watching them figure it out though....
my Mille fleur rooster gets all out of shape when I pick up and pet any of the hens and struts up to me. He forgets about that last step and falls out the door half the...
