I only have 2 but they are inside but in a giant brooder in my office and I take them out and let them run around a couple times a day. My dogs love to sit and watch them and keep guard over them.
It's too cold for them outdoors even our garage gets pretty cold at night. Since the day they were born they have been indoor duckies having pool time in my giant bathtub and running around pooping everywhere. Since they've gotten bigger their access to the main floor has been limited to just...
Oh yeah number one is doing awesome he is in the brooder all fluffed up and screeching for attention running everywhere. Number 2 this morning seems weak, won't lift his head up. Number three is still absorbing the last little part of his yolk I expect him to come out today sometime...
Should I get him out and have him lay on me with a towel and heating pad? He seems super lonely I stuck my hand in there and he tried to nuzzle into my palm
It's basically a electrolyte booster for weak chicks it help give them a little extra boost if they are struggling. He hasn't fluffed up and dried off quite yet, he hatched about 8 o clock last night. Will he dry off today? He is still in the incubator.
He's in the incubator hasn't come out. He's still alive I put doe antibiotic ointment over his navel to keep it as clean as possible. Think good thoughts for my little Morris he has a lot to overcome tonight. :/
I have my humidity set to 70% and this morning I checked on them and the one has externally pipped! The others are still alive, one may have internally pipped but I'm not sure at the point quite yet
I'll go home tonight and put a light up to their air cells to see if any have internally pipped. As of yesterday non had but I hesitate in opening the bator because I don't want to let too much humidity out I have it set at 65% right now
It's day 25, the eggs are still wobbling around but none have internally pipped yet, should I be worried? Help! This is my first time incubating call ducks and I'm a nervous momma duck!!!
