I must be very fortunate as I have no trouble with my silkies. (knock on wood) They are just happy and healthy. I do feed them treats (mealy worms) occasionally but other than that they just eat pellets and scratch, I do have to keep a heat lamp nearby when it stays below freezing for days at...- Dcawdrey

I have found that all my silkie roosters are friendly. In fact I have all my "extra" roosters roaming and all the roosters get along - maybe a tiff or two but nothing serious. I pick up all my birds. I have a motto for my critters - If you are not nice, you Don't get to live here. Trust me...- Dcawdrey

Hey all, Medina,TN here. Just wanted to check in and see how everyone has survived this winter. I raise various 'Common" chickens, Black Copper Marans, Pure white Silkies and both White and Indian Blue Peacocks.
