this is my only silkie that survived out of my hatch
these are the 8 i got today at tractor supply to keep it company they are not silkies but at least the one silkie has some buddies not sure of the breed but i do know they are pullets
well out of the 4 that hatched i have had 3 to die on me and not really sure why the temp is right where it needs to be and they have clean water and food going today and getting some buddies for the lonly chick
well just got back from basball practice with my son and found the one that was weak stating to get better on its side cool to the touch and has been stepped on by the other 3 really bad so now she or he has went down hill again not sure what to do if no better later tonight after seperating it...

well getting me a new incubator and egg turner today and i have 15 silkie eggs to place in the incubator either tomorrow friday of saturday i am thinking saturday so that when they hatch my kids will be home and not at school. and with 2 incubators i will be able to really hatch this spring
Well after months of rain we finally had our first death now our work begins this weekend we will putting a shead over the whole run to try and keep rain out since our silkies are not smart eniugh to go in when it rains.
