I have a question - with my Silkies due to hatch this upcoming week - should I leave them with the hens and roo or take them inside and put in a brooder in the house during this Northeastern Winter? They have been under my broody hens outside in a well insulated coop/ Or is it best to leave them...- cxs918

Do you often bring them in during the cold or is this because they are young? I have 3 in Rhode Island and we are getting the blizzard tonight. I added extra hay and shavings and have a water heater but not a heat lamp. Have a great coop and checked on them and they are all huddled together and...- cxs918
