    Theoretically it should be possible... A pure ameraucana/silkie F1 would produce smooth feathered, green/mint colored egg producers. Breeding this offspring together, and percentage of the offspring would be silkie feathered and still lay green eggs.

    Haha thanks! And she was just a TSC chick that I happened to recognize the breed. Yeah, it seems that crowing or egg laying are the surest way to know with these birds! Oh I do hope so!

    My Silkie with its sebright buddy. At this age (10 1/2 weeks) I ALWAYS know what gender they are... Until I got a Silkie! Lol

    I don't know if it's considered a breed. It's a mix between a Silkie and a naked neck.

    I've had an all boy pen before. As long as they're not around hens, they don't fight. Haven't had luck keeping more than one rooster with the hens though. Always ends in a gory battle.

    Yeah I had the red mites. Still have them in the yard and run, but birds and coop are kept bug free.

    In my case, I have tried almost all poultry approved produce for pests, and they've been immune to all of it, however, frontline did work. Sevin dust did too!
