Theoretically it should be possible... A pure ameraucana/silkie F1 would produce smooth feathered, green/mint colored egg producers. Breeding this offspring together, and percentage of the offspring would be silkie feathered and still lay green eggs.
Haha thanks! And she was just a TSC chick that I happened to recognize the breed. Yeah, it seems that crowing or egg laying are the surest way to know with these birds!

I've had an all boy pen before. As long as they're not around hens, they don't fight. Haven't had luck keeping more than one rooster with the hens though. Always ends in a gory battle.
In my case, I have tried almost all poultry approved produce for pests, and they've been immune to all of it, however, frontline did work. Sevin dust did too!
