Well...she's still going, there's no stopping her. Since starting this thread she's not missed a single day laying. 1 per day, everyday. She's on for a 360+ / yr target! She's well outlaying my RIR chicken. Woka

Quote: That's like saying you made a sponge cake out of cement, shampoo and 1/2 a turnip. Surely that can't be classed as a Campbell can it? Woka

Quote: Campbells are a cross of Mallard, Runner and Rouen I believe. If some Aylesbury snuck in there would that not affect egg laying/looks etc in a big way? unless it was a few generations down I suppose... tbh I look at pekins and a few other ducks and I say "that's a white campbell" but...

Haha. She certainly is snuggley. She was raised from 0 to 3 weeks old in an indoor pen with 20 other ducklings and 30 chicks. This was at an urban farm 1 mile from the city center. We bought her when she was 3 weeks old and she was hand raised indoors with a small bantam cochin of the same age...

I am assuming Khakis lay the same sized eggs as White Campbells? Boggling lays pure white eggs. Do runners lay bluey greeny eggs? Woka

She always lays before 7am. We've never caught her laying yet, but every mornign there's an egg waiting for us where she slept. I did let her out at 6.45am the other day and at 7am when I went outside with the dog food there was an egg under the garden table and chairs. Silly duck. I am getting...
