Hello All, in Palm Beach county and wondering if anyone is selling hatching eggs or chicks for some heritage heavy breeds (our neighbors all have large chicken eating dogs:) ...I was specifically looking for New Hamshire, and Black Australorps, but any prolific layer would be great! Thanks!
I think that is unusual...though I've only known 2 Wheaten roos (I own one splash wheaten) and my experience is that they're incredibly docile and take great care of the ladies...call them over for food and water, crows for hawks, even watchs them lay sometimes. I wanted one after reading good...
I think it's a baby black ratsnake...just ran into the problem of not knowing how far different the infants look from the adults...I killed a baby black racer because it had markings like a ratlesnake and was coiling and attacking :( Lesson learned!
There is a breeder in Loxahatchee that sells all kinds of Marans. Mark at thefancychicken.com 561.444.8020. He's really great but I know he just left on vacation today...we bought some Black Coppers and Black Tailed Buff Marans from him and they are our sweetest birds! Highly recommend!
Bobandtee: Ranch Feed & Supply store in Palm City has chicks occasionally(we have a chick and turkey from there), otherwise I'm a bit south of you, but I've purchased from a local breeder in Loxahatchee who specializes in Marans (of all kinds) & Blue Laced Red Wyandottes...you can find them on...
Thanks! I poyred over this page but the relish one didn't look like any of these but the golden colored one looks like the last cecal picture, however they do this daily now, so I wouldn't think it'd be possible to have that many cecal poos...we are in the 90skitchen here this week so I thought...
Again, I need some help! Does the weather getting hot have anything to do with poop changing color or consistency? Our oldest girl is just getting over coccidiosis( And is still in quarantine) And now I'm noticing the others are getting golden colored foamy poo and some that look like relish...
A friend of ours hatched some eggs for a school project, and they have 12 2-week-old chicks if anyone is interested! Free to a good home...she's not sure of the breed as she just purchased a dozen eggs from a farm marketed for consumption. They're on vacation now but they should be available...
Took your advice and did a layer of sand, and 2 bags of Sweet PDZ, I'll have to do the DE when I finnish the nesting boxes! Can't wait to try scooping poop tomorrow! ! Never thought I'd hear those words leave my mouth!!
We ended up going for Black Cooper Marans ...(and a fun experience for the kids) and ended up with a BCM and 2 of the Black Tailed Buff Marans...also my husband fell in love with an Ameraucana Splash rooster ... so I totally ate my words when I told everyone there's NO WAY we're getting a...
Perfect! Thanks so much!! I went and bought the PDZ yesterday and am going to mix it with sand since it was expensive to do the whole floor exclusively in it! Start-Up chickens aren't cheap! (No pun intended :)) I have Thomsons water seal left from the exterior that I may do a quick wash on the...
