Just wondering if any of you plant winter rye grass for the chicks?? I wonder if they would eat the seed or let it grow and eat later? My girls got some corn cob tonight for the first time, they were scared of it at first, funny watching them. They are a HOOT.- pat1297

MY 6 little 9 weeks old hens that have been in the coop for 2 wks now have finally figured out sleeping on the roost is the way to go. The last few nights they have been doing just that, so now I can remove their cozy worn out cardboard box. HIP HIP Hoorah.... Now I have to teach them to come...- pat1297

Does anyone in Fl have problems keeping ants at bay.? I have them all over and cant seem to get a gripe. Maybe I just have tooo much growing in the yard. I even have them on my 4 oclocks now and crape myrtle. They are making me crazy:rolleyes:- pat1297

I just read an article in Backyard Poultry about guineas and now wonder if they would be good for our very buggy Florida yards...they eat many bugs but do not scratch up the yard like chickens do. Who has guineas and love them?- pat1297
