Florida, what happened? I can't believe it, I was just over there about a month ago. I will miss her so much. She was a great friend. It is odd, I was hatching some eggs for her, and they just hatched yesterday. It makes me sad that she will never see them.

Something got into the cochin pen last night and killed all but 2 of the cochin. First time I have had a predator attack, other than my own dogs. Looks like I am going to have to do some major pen reinforcement. I am ready to lock one of the dogs in the cochin pen to give whatever it was a...
When you are in the box where you type the reply, at the top there are a bunch of icons. In the box that has the smiley face, the first icon is the one you click to post a photo. It is the muti-colored square.

I know the feel Jadnils. It seems like it takes forever. All my older hens are molting, so I am not getting any eggs right now. I am going to start charging them room and board if they don't start contributing soon.

Kim, Child Services down here has a terrible reputation, so your MIL may be in for a uphill battle. Since she has no money, she will be dependent on the state appointed attorney. Unless someone in your family has the money to hire an attorney for her. It will be very expensive, probably at...
Stan, save 4 pullets and 1 cockerel for me if you have them available. If you are coming to one of the swaps up here, can I pick them up at the swap? I plan on going to the Lonesome Dove and Plant City swaps this month, but will go to another one of the Polk county swaps if that is the plan...
Can't wait to see the chicks. I have fallen in love with these birds. They are beautiful. If Outback does not recover, I may have to get another rooster from you. I thought the Delaware had dry pox because he never developed respiratory symptoms, but he went bad overnight and died today...
What do you have left Stan? I'm fighting fowl pox, and may have to replace some birds, and still want to get some Barred Rocks.
Hello to all the new folks.
Ingrid, Outback is one of the chickens with pox, but it looks like it is dry, so I think he will be OK. He knows which pullets are...

Gail, tigercreek has some really nice Barred Rocks. Last I heard he had some chicks available. He is down in Palmetto, but his birds are worth the drive. CloverdaleFarms has Ameraucanas and she is in Sefner. Hope this helps.
