BOYS BOYS BOYS!
One of my friends has some big beautiful Brahma roosters that need home.
These are some fancy birds in the rare gold laced and buff laced coloring out of Dan Powell lines.

Just ran across a new (to me at least) online catalog with lots of chicken goodies!
They seem to have very reasonable prices. Might be worth a look if you need to do some shopping for your birds.

I have misters in my coop area and it works great keeping the birds cool. Home Depot and Lowe's should have portable sets you hook up to a hose for maybe $30.
Thanks for letting us know about this. Homegrown eggs are so much better for you and its nice for everyone to be able to raise their own. I posted it on facebook.
We have a great pyrenees dog and he is so good with the birds, our Nigerian Dwarf Goats, and my Mini Horses too. Keep the coyotes away to. Might be worth looking into.
If then hens are old enough to lay try putting a light in their coop as their laying cycle does vary with the hours of daylight, which is less in the winter.
I did this my flock of layers and they went from 1 egg to 8 or 9 a day.
Worth a try for the cost of a 60 watt light bulb and some time...
Congrads on your darling chicks! I need to email you some pictures of the new one I hatched. Incubators are addicting! Now all I need is more fertile eggs.
