Ask your local food banks for the produce they would otherwise throw out. I bet they would be happy to give it to you! You may try the farmers markets as well.

It's B&B Feed on Ironwood south west of the trail (Main St.) and they are really nice there. You would have to call and check to see if they have chicks at that time and what type.
