Well for the sake of my son getting some sleep for work, my 2 girls are going to a new home. Friend has a farm with goats, chickens, dogs, cats, horses and the guineas are going there to teach them how to be bad. Hope they won't knock off too many of the neighbors. If I ever get them again...
I was so very tempted to bring home 7 keets yesterday to add to my crazy two remaining girls.I found themat Rural King, fully feathered and ondiscount!I would have let them grow out first, but then I thought.Your son and husband may just lock you in the mental ward if you do! So maybe next...
You are one brave or your crazy to get near a broody guinea in my opinion. I won't get near my two without body armor and motorcycle goggles anymore. Those birds are crazy evil ninjas!
I know the peeing trick works for raccoon. My friend does it and has her family helping her with it. Her coop is secure but her barn is where she has had problems. So they tinkle across the doorways every few days where it's chipped away.
Patty hen you a guinea whisperer? I have not been able to get mine to come near me ever. They stay 4 ft back when called for treats and trying to catch them, ummm suit up with body armor and a dirt bike helmet and goggles! Them birds are crazy!
Oh boy,I have 2 females left that adopted the BA pullets. So next year they could become chicken bullies when they hit the urge. Great,no male to chill them. Crap on toast!
Ummm dusting it is a major operation. Takes all day by myself..Round log walls and beams , grrr. I threaten to use the leaf blower and put the large barn fan outside and open window for dust removal.
WOW STUNNING COLORS!But I am in Ohio, so none of them for me.Have enough problems now with my son asking me to get rid of the 2 Pearls I have now. They still are scared to leave the run and coop. Big babies.
Glad mine wish to join the chickens in the coop then! My dog likes beer enough as it is,(she will knock it over and drink it if able to )don't need a beer bill for my flock too.
