I think SS are more vocal than my other chickens. They seem to have a "talk" to them I can pick out from the other breeds for sure but to try and describe it is impossible for me. The chick shown does look "like" a SS chick to me.

Well here's what I'm left with for my SFH flock. Should I just throw in the towel and call it quits or try for some chicks with this batch. One cockerel, 4 pullets. I still have an egg order I'm waiting on to come but am not hopeful with the USPS lately as they've lost my last 2 boxes of shipped...

Here are the only 2 I have left from my first purchase of SFH. I did just make an order for a dozen hatching eggs from a different breeder and lines so hope this will be a better outcome.

Please comment on these if you know sexes and possibly their colors/quality? They are all GFF SFH chicks ranging from a month and half old to a few weeks.

Need help identifying problem with this SFH chick, notice white things on tongue and is constantly gasping. Its about 2 wks old. I tried to grab with tweezers and its harder feeling almost like cartilage and could be a genetic defect. Any ideas would be helpful, yes I should of culled right away...
