I believe this is why my roosters are gentlemen. I only have a couple at a time, but once they are showing signs of being interested in the ladies, they get moved in where the layer flock comes in to roost at night in their coop. They get put right in their place.

I dry-incubate as well, and have had good hatch rates with my SFH

Guess who is broody? Right in the middle of egg-selling season? Nothing I do can break this broody.....as we speak, she is sitting on a frozen bottle of water. Besides being inconvenient, it is starting to break my heart for her....she is determined to be a mama.
