I didn't mean to start a fuss over which brand is better. I just wanted to know what to feed little ones and big ones in the same coop.
I'm going to the local feed mill to try to get a lesser expensive feed that will work. Both Purina and Dumor are around $ 30.00 a 100 lbs. and I am...

Cindy I know Purnia is made in PA. I used to live in the same town and knew people that worked there. I have also used Dunmor after my first pick brand and saw and smelled a major differance in birds. Shortly after I switched I was loosing feather and poops went from small to large...

They have the same ingredients listed on the bag, so how do we know Dumor is worse than Purina? I've used both in the past & never noticed a difference.
I agree I been using Dumor the whole time and my girls a very healthy and growing strong, also I have 25 CX that are 8 weeks old...

I'm now using Dumor Chick Starter/Grower 20%, so if I understand correctly, keep feeding this and have oyster shell available in a few weeks when the older ones start laying.
Sorry I'm so dumb about this, I just want to feed them the right stuff.

It is ok for the 8 weeks old. That's why it is called Flock Raiser, for Flocks with different kinds of life stages and even different kind of poultry......
Thanks
Bill
We have 17 week old hens that should be laying in a few weeks (HOPE HOPE HOPE) and we also have 8 week old pulletts in the same coop.
What should we feed them when the older ones are ready to lay and the younger ones need to be on starter / grower feed?
Thanks in advance
Bill
