Penney's was having a huge sale a few weeks ago--but not sure if they still are... I'm a size 6/8 depending on the dress...I'm pear-shaped, too...so I like something to hide my butt and accent my thinner top...

Thanks everyone....I'm going to check out Penney's tomorrow and then maybe a few other places...I'm hoping for a black dress....I would like a gown but it's probably not THAT formal? And a shorter length would mean more versatility...

So I got invited to a wedding and stupid me--didn't even ASK what sort of attire was required (hey, I got married in a field). Anyway--I finally heard back from the bride-to-be today and she said it's "pretty formal--evening wear." What the heck? I don't even OWN a dress!?
