I don't believe it is either as its got yellow legs. You'll have to wait a bit longer for it to feather out more.

On Facebook there's a group called Good Egg Bad Egg that has reviews on ebay sellers, private breeders, hatcheries and facebook sellers, as well as buyers. Don't think there's anything here like that yet.

Try PolyViSol without iron, it's infant vitamins and I find it works in about 48 hours. Do you have this one isolated from the others? It may get picked on in its vulnerable state. Good luck!

Isn't this what created the problems with the Jubilee's coloring in the US? That leakage may still rear its ugly head generations later and/or problems with the mahagony color? This was the main reason I sold my Jubilees, leakage kept appearing in the offspring.

I have GL and BBS from Greg (Old Orchard). The BBS are huge. I have Buff Columbians from The Fancy Chick and they are equally large but are sexually dimorphic at hatch. They are my favorites and follow me around as I go about my garden chores. As already stated, they are poor layers but you...

My Chocolates lay the earliest at around 5 1/2 to 6 months and other varieties are later. You'll find with most other Jubilee breeders that the Jubs are the slowest - regardless of lines. Edit to add that I keep calendars on my birds (ie, hatch date, first egg laid & weight of egg, etc).

My Jubilees were about a year old when they started laying. Very slow to mature.

Launi Hubbard at gracefulchickens.com has Delaware Orpingtons and sells chicks and eggs. Her parent birds are from The Fancy Chick. I had 6 of 7 shipped Delaware eggs hatch - 3 pullets and 3 cockerels from her.

Orpingtons should not have pea combs but single combs. Were you looking for Ameraucanas?

Like OnlyOrps said, you do want to give them room to move around. I also have the crates loaded up so they're not crowding each other as well as the birds are going to generate body heat. My trailer has great ventilation but air isn't blowing directly on them. I use the large wire crates with...

I move my birds twice a year about a 3 1/2 hour drive. My bird move consists of a 50 ft trailer since I have a few more than you. I do put bowls of cool cut up fresh cut fruit in each crate in case they get thirsty. The ride always is uneventful, though they are happy to get out of the crates!

I don't think so. Look at all the colors we are embracing here, people are going crazy for the silver laced, chocolate cuckoo, etc. If we were all to go by the APA, then you would only be seeing the black, blue, buff and white. I think it's jealousy for the most part when the mud starts...

I would love to see your Lemon Blues! Have been coveting LF Lemon Blue Cochins but I'm just a true blue Orp lover and knew one day someone would come up with that color in an Orpington.

It's always hard to lose them. So sorry for your loss. I leave crushed eggshells out at all times for my girls and they seem to prefer it over oyster shells. Whenever I boil eggs I always keep the shell for them. Again, so sorry you lost your girl.
