    It works good, we had to put the cinder blocks in the front so the fat butt Cochins could get up in there. About a year ago we had an owl figure out there was food in there at night.     Ours are 18 to 24 inches square and in the houses they are on the floor on the back wall. The top is angled down towards the front so you can scrape the poo off easier. On the range roosts they are the same size but towards the back. Steve
