8pm update for noaa we are now in hurricane watch. Spent the day pulling boats and putting things away, Just about ready as ready can be. One good thing is it looks like it will be moving fast. Kinda like opening the car door on the highway fast.

Stupidbird We have a dewalt 6000watt gen that I wheel out from the basement and plug into an outlet my electrician hooked up for us when we built our house.Then inside we have a panel with breakers on it that we turn on. We have all the necessities hooked up so they will work with generator...

Here it comes! Anyone else in the way? What have you done or are gonna do to get ready? Today I will get gas and make sure the generator is working. Also pick up loose things around the yard.
