Do you ever sell any hatching eggs or chicks from these?

Okay, I am looking for some input. I have a trio of WL Red Cornish that are 11 months old, and I would like input from the experienced breeders on here as to what is good and what is bad about these birds. The cockerel usually holds his wings like what is shown in the third photo where he has...

Well I am sad to report that I personally know several people, like my sister, that they either did sell them to or attempted to sell them to: They didn't call them Ameraucanas, but said they were blue egg layers. Luckily, my sister had sense to call me and ask before buying them. She read the...

Awesome budsbirds! Man you are lucky to have that sort of stock that close. It is a real struggle to find decent Cornish in my neck of the woods!

Good luck and I don't mean to be a downer, but almost every Ameraucana you buy at a feed store (hatchery birds) will be an Easter Egger and not a pure bred Ameraucana. On the up side, they are nice looking, and excellent layers, but just not pure bred birds. Sorry you got taken in by the Cornish...

Thanks budsbirds! Half the eggs are showing development right now (10 of 20). If I get less than 6 to hatch, I am going to see about robbing a bank and having him ship me a trio or quad of juveniles! They are my first foray into bantams and I am very excited about it.

I am very excited. My Dark Cornish Bantam Eggs from Bob Anderson in Oregon have arrived in great condition! He was very generous and sent 20 for the price of 12 so I would be sure to get a good hatch. They were very professionally packed and traveled very well. Three weeks can't pass soon...

I'll leave that question to the experts like Walt. I am just starting to get a good feel for the breed and gotten stock decent enough to start really paying attention.

Yes they do. They are the MOST expensive hatching eggs I have ever purchased so am praying to get at least a 50% hatch rate. I took some pictures of the Russell Roy DC chicks, went to get the pictures off the camera's memory card and they weren't there. I'll "re-do" the photo shoot later if I...

So I just ordered some hatching eggs for some Bantam Dark Cornish from Bob Anderson in Oregon. Here is one of his hens and cock birds. I really hope these hatch well for me. I don't own any bantams, but these were just too nice to pass up.

We back to Russell Roy? Well, the Dark Cornish chicks are a bit lighter than any of the others I have ever hatched. However, the best ones I have currently are not from an exhibition line, but rather Frank Reese at Good Shepherd Poultry: They are from his meat line. I held one that up...

They were the breeders he had....probably not his best stock. He does have some good birds he shows. Just saying that folks just getting into this may not be quite so picky. Bantam cornish are hard to find for most folks. I buy Narrangansett turkeys from him and his birds in that breed do VERY...

I have some chicks, but no adults yet! I've been buying hatching eggs from him to get a jump start on my flock since he told me he won't be selling chicks till the end of May or early June. Oh, and thought I would mention that Jim Leopard from Oklahoma is selling some of his extra breeder...
