    Ok so I found a fat little egg today. Not a marans egg obviously, so What are the chances it is my Cornish Bantam hen?? I still have them running loose. I have a couple young odd pullets but this was close where the hen perch every night. I might hatch it to see what comes out.

    Sorry to hear that. I lost a couple of birds to foxes this year. The scoundrels were coming and killing four or five carrying two off and hiding the rest in my hay field for later. We surprisesd them on thier return...... I heard that the Marten only like fresh meat do you have those around you...

    Thanks guys. I also had a silkie hen running around, so I am not sure whose egg it might be. It was small and cream colored it wasn't shaped like the last egg I had seen from the silkie so I penned the trio up today just in case. They do not seem to like it much. I am really wanting chicks...

    You are welcome. I went looking ot buy cornish chicks and was so excited to find these. I think I might have to harass Gary the next time I see him to try to get some LF ones form him ;) I love these guys even if they are ugly. They are not as rough as they appear in the picture, I had them...

    Sorry I was out in the barn for a while ;) My cockerel..."Tank" My Pullets..."Tink" and "Pet" They are now 6 months old. Lots of crowing but no eggs yet......

    I am happy to find this thread I have some BLR bantam I want some opinions on. I purchased them at the Ohio National and they are my new favorite. Will post pics soon.
