Lol ohhh ok. Bet that's a gorgeous cross! Depending on their quality at 8-12 weeks I'd say they're easily worth $50 ea or more. Pictures would help a lot...
Well my chocolates all ended up being hens! So funny as everyone guessed cockrels for all or most of them. So now I have a pretty trio of choc POL pullets with my spare mottled roo. Can't wait to see what the chicks look like!
Well that's not good news lol I was worried it was leakage. They were kept in really horrid conditions before I got them and had lots of damaged feathers. I might just keep them for table eggs so they have a good home... can you tell if any of them are pullets? Thanks for all the help!!
Are mine true chocolates? Can you tell by pictures? One of them has red blotches on her wings and the other one has one red feather on the back of it's neck. The one that I'm sure is a cockrel is a nice dark chocolate color...
I'm also trying to decide if the two outside birds are pullets...
now I'm wondering what my 'chocolates' are... the pullet has red highlights. Is that leakage in the chocolate color? The cockrel and the 'unknown' one have dark dark Chocolate, almost black feathers but she has lacing and random red feathers...
Thanks so much! I'm very excited!
I have a potentially silly question... I have a black rooster from bbs breeding. If I bred him to a choc pullet would he act genetically as a black roo and improve type etc giving me splits or do they carry blue also and would he make mauve's occasionally?
I just got three choclate chicks.
This huge fella acts like a roo and looks like one
I think I have 2 cockrels and a pullet! They're from huge LF patent stock. I can't wait to watch them mature!
The little guy on the far right is the one I'm on the fence abt. He has a boyish face but doesn't...
